EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
“Just like the integral and global nature is in harmony with its elements; similarly, we need to be in harmony with the rest of nature.”
Earth Day is observed on 22nd April every year. In accordance with the theme ’Restore the Earth’, students at Delhi Public School Kota took a pledge to restore the earth’s former glory and celebrated ‘Earth Week’ from 19th to 23rd April.
The first day was dedicated to The Five elements of Nature. The preprimary dressed up as the elements and grades I and II made finger puppets of air, water, fire, earth, and sky.
On days 2and3 to show the importance of Air and water, tiny tots performed the roleplay, grades I and II made pinwheels, grade III to V prepared windmills. Grade VI had declamation and grade VII presented Water harvesting models.
On days 4 and 5 our students showed that Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse could be done with little effort. Old notebook pages were collected to make a new notebook. Plastic bottles were reused to make birdhouse and planters' newspaper baskets
